Sponsorship Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Purpose of Sponsorship
Sponsorship at Lorinthian's House is a partnership that allows corporations, foundations, civic organizations, and aligned entities to support healing-centered education, restoration programming, retreats, workshops, public education forums, community renewal initiatives, and mission-aligned public-benefit work. Sponsorship is not a commercial transaction. It is a mission-aligned investment in women's restoration and community wellbeing.
2. What Sponsorship Includes
Depending on the sponsorship category and written agreement, sponsors may receive:
- Recognition on the Lorinthian's House website (sponsor name, logo, and/or category acknowledgment as agreed)
- Acknowledgment in relevant program materials and event communications
- Impact reporting on the programming or initiative their sponsorship supports
- Sponsor briefing invitations and program updates
- Other recognition as described in the individual sponsorship agreement
3. What Sponsorship Does NOT Include
Sponsorship at Lorinthian's House does NOT confer:
- Endorsement of the sponsor's products, services, political views, or commercial offerings
- Governance rights, board seats, voting power, or ownership interest in Lorinthian's House
- Control over programming, content, curriculum, speaker selection, or editorial direction
- Exclusivity that would prevent Lorinthian's House from working with other funders or partners in the same category
- Access to participant information or confidential data
- Guaranteed media coverage, press mentions, or third-party publicity
4. Editorial and Programmatic Independence
All programming, content, curriculum, speaker selection, public education materials, reports, and community partnerships remain under the sole direction of Lorinthian's House. Sponsors do not influence, review, or approve program content. This independence is fundamental to the integrity of our mission.
5. Sponsorship Categories
Lorinthian's House offers mission-aligned sponsorship categories including, but not limited to:
- Healing Program Sponsor
- Public Lyceum Sponsor
- Raleigh Rebuild Sponsor
- Women's Leadership Sponsor
- Retreat Scholarship Sponsor
- Public Report Underwriter
- Community Renewal Partner
Custom sponsorships are available. Each sponsorship is tailored to the sponsor's capacity and the program's needs. Sponsorship levels are not associated with fixed dollar-amount tiers. Every partnership is structured individually through a written sponsorship agreement.
6. Sponsor Alignment
Lorinthian's House only accepts sponsorships from organizations whose mission, values, and public conduct are aligned with our mission of women's healing, family restoration, and community renewal. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a sponsorship relationship at any time if the sponsor's activities, reputation, or conduct conflict with our mission or values.
7. Sponsorship vs. Donation
Sponsorship and donation are distinct. Donations are charitable contributions made without expectation of recognition or benefits in return (see our Donation Policy). Sponsorship involves a written agreement outlining mutual commitments and sponsor recognition. Both support the mission; the structure differs.
8. Tax Considerations
Lorinthian's House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The tax treatment of a sponsorship payment depends on the specific terms of the agreement and the sponsor's tax situation. Sponsors should consult their tax advisor. Generally, payments made primarily to support the mission, rather than in exchange for substantial return benefits, may be deductible as charitable contributions to the extent permitted by law.
